BJP leaders suspect conspiracy behind Munde's death

Mumbai, Jun 3 (DNA) : Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde passed away on Tuesday morning after meeting with a fatal car accident in Delhi.

Munde was a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra. As a politician, he won the hearts of many close aides while working tirelessly in the state. His sudden demise has come as a big blow to the BJP, especially since they are about to fight the Assembly elections in October 2014.

In these difficult moments, BJP leaders in Maharashtra refuse to believe that such a turn of events could happen in broad daylight. Questions are being raised. Did his driver jump the red light? Was his driver new and inexperienced? How many people knew that he was flying from Delhi airport today? Were there those who were jealous of his success, and did not want to see him prosper? These questions are being raised after some spokespersons from Maharashtra went ahead and made such statements.

Leaders such as Prakash Anna Shengde and Awadhut Wagh claim that it is impossible that such an accident can just happen, and are calling his accident to be a conspiracy, and have gone to the extent to demand a CBI probe.

Shengde, Maharashtra BJP spokesperson, claimed in an interview with Zee News that Munde's death was not an accident but a conspiracy. "It is hard to believe that such a big personality like him, a VIP, a minister of India with so much security, would pass away in an ordinary accident," he said. He added, "At six in the morning there is hardly any traffic in Delhi, in that situation, a car being hit from behind doesn't make sense."

When asked whether he had any suspects in mind, he said, "I don't want to point any fingers. An investigation must be done, and then the truth will come out."

Maharashtra BJP leaders demand CBI inquiry into Gopinath Munde's car accident and subsequent death at AIIMS. Watch the

Another Maharashtra BJP spokesperson, Awadhut Wagh, has said that Munde's death might be a planned conspiracy, and demanded a CBI probe into the matter.

In a statement, Wagh said, "Unless an inquiry is done, we won't be satisfied. People think this could be a conspiracy. Although I am not a policeman to decide whether it was an accident, and to inquire on this matter is the job of police, I would just like to add that Mundeji used to travel in a high security vehicle with guards, how come he was in a normal car?"

Talking about the specifics, Wagh elaborated on Munde's travel style, "He used move all across the nation. He used to travel in a comfortable car with safety equipment. The Indica came and hit the car on Gopinath Munde's side and not otherwise. The car was overtaken from the left side," he said.

Like Shengde, Wagh too did not point fingers at anyone. "I cannot say anything for sure, but I think this might be a conspiracy, and an inquiry should be done; the truth should come out to people. I demand a CBI enquiry."

Earlier on Tuesday, BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said that Munde's body would be placed at BJP headquarters on Tuesday for party leaders to pay their last respects. His last rites will be performed in Parali village in Beed district of Maharashtra on Wednesday.

It is really sad, that we Indians lost the able, great leader Gopinath Munde , due to car accident. As per the write up, being mentioned in this page, it is a conspiracy:
    Few observations:
    a. If it is conspiracy which lead to the death of Mr. Gopinath Munde, as mentioned by some BJP party leaders, then, the same force which finished Mr. Pramod Mahajan, might be the same force have fininshed Mr Gopinath Munde. Then it might be a internal force. Being Mr. Gopinath Munde was a grass root level worker and had very good appeal towards the Marathwada area due to his hard work, honest, his own known persons who are jealous of his rising popularity, might have done this, Enemy within is more dangerous.

b Other angle -. Being this is a accident case, the car Mr. Gopinath Munde was travelling was a private sub contractor vehicle and has crossed the red signal ,driver driving with high speed. There are many instances, during the accidents, due to the massive impact, the internal parts of the body gets damaged and directly affects to the heart too might lead to cardiac arrest here.

Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved members of the family. May his soul rest iin peace.

Nobody will really know the real cause of his death as they want to strengthen the conspiracy theory.
Media is just giving out news contradicting each other.
In one news item it said it was just brush against the car Munde was travelling in.
Poor driver of that other car. He will go through hell.

How can there be any conspiracy when it was the Munde's Car which overshot the Red signal and not that other Indica Car. When Munde's driver has broken the traffic rules and innocent Indica Car driver was following traffic rules, how can there be any conspiracy ?

Conspiracy Theorists have Greater Imagination than Plotters it seems!
The accident from preliminary reports suggests at an intersection when minister's car was crossing, an Indica car overshot Red-light signal & rammed into the side of the car where the minister was sitting.
The impact without side airbags will be fatal with internal trauma triggering heart attack.
If anybody thinks its a conspiracy they might have used bigger vehicles than this Indica car to cause death.
If the driver of Indica car has no serious injuries, this suggests he might be not at very high speed, when impacting the minister's vehicle which might have incapacitated the driver himself.
I think his time has come, just like Madhav Rao Sindhia, Andhra Speaker Balayogi & Y S R as well.
Rest In Peace is our heartfelt condolences to the departed soul.

Munde had heart problem since long and in spite of that since last two months he had worked in a frenzied manner to oversee BJP electioneering in Maharashtra without caring for his health and at last it has taken its toll.

Even though Munde's was a natural death still the BJP people are suspecting conspiracy. Whereas in our Ujire even though Saujanya was raped and murdered by Powerful people and an innocent lunatic was fixed into it the same BJP people do not find any Conspiracy in it. What a paradox !

This was a minor accident. Apparently the minister's time had come. Too sad.

In more sophisticated world the road accidents are as many e.g. There are average 50,000 deaths in US every year, all because of road accidents.

It is not the road condition, as the roads are made better and better the travelling speed increases which is the root cause of accidents.

So curse as much as you like Indian roads, the better roads with all the facilities is no guarantee that accidents would not happen. RIP Mundeji.

Remember, the sugar mafia in Maharashtra is very very powerful. Munde had breached the fortress of Sharad Pawar - who is backed by sugar lobby and dawood ibrahim. Munde was the frontrunner for CM if BJP-SS would come to power in the next assembly elections. It is very possible that this was a conspiracy.

I hope the central government will strengthen the security for its ministers. A central minister should not be travelling without a escort vehicle. Or atleast upgrade their vehicles to armored cars.

Though the case is of a sensitive nature,co-incidence might have played a great hand. The identity of the car driver is clearly established. There should not be any foul play but there is bound to be some anguish, pain and refusal to accept the situation
that very easily because of the personality involved.
Proper investigations, postmortem reports would definitely help though.
