Nama Tuluveru all set to entertain UAE with Rangabhoomi's 'Kaala Chakra'

Dubai, Sep 2: Nama Tuluveru UAE committee members met at Malabar Paris Restaurant on Friday August 30 to discuss the preparations for staging Udupi Rangabhoomi's very famous 'Kaala Chakra'.
The meeting started with a prayer. Shodhan Prasad welcomed the members and read out the agenda. Purushottam Salian, Sudhakar Alva, Sarvotham Shetty, Satish Venkataramana and Prabhakar Suvarna were on the dais.
'Kaala Chakra', an award winning Tulu social drama will be staged in Dubai at Nashwan Hall, Al Nasr Leisureland on Thursday September 26, sharp at 7.30 pm and the same drama will be staged in Abu Dhabi on Friday September 27 at 5 pm in Sheikh Zayed Auditorium, Abu Dhabi Indian School by Abu Dhabi Tulu Koota. Chilly Willy Trading is the main sponsor and Padmashree Dr B R Shetty has agreed to be the chief guest to inaugurate this programme both in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Rangabhoomi Udupi is one of the oldest theatre companies of Udupi. Over the past 48 years, it has been organizing various theatre workshops, drama camps, cultural programmes, state-level drama competitions and identifying and honouring eminent personalities in the field of art.
'Kaala Chakra' Tulu drama is a trend setter drama in Tulu theatre which has bagged many prizes in state-level drama competitions and also won award from the Tulu Sahitya Academy in Karnataka. The original script being written in Marathi by well known Jayavanth Dalavi, it was re-written in Tulu by H K Karkera. The story revolves around the family of an old couple. It is a tale that narrates the mindsets of two generations, very well portrayed with a social message by a team of 11 artistes, some of them well respected stalwarts in the drama field and widely known in Karnataka. The drama has won the hearts of many spectators in and around Karnataka.
During the meeting, member Sarvotham Shetty's birthday was celebrated by cutting a cake. The meeting concluded at around with refreshments.

The tickets for Rangabhoomi’s Tulu social drama ‘Kaala Chakra’ will be available with online booking and can be reserved by booking on the link http://www.namatuluveru.com/. There will be no reservation of seats as it is on first-come-first-serve basis on the drama day. However, those who book the tickets through online portal will receive the tickets in advance.
