Mangalore: Male newborn found dead in river at Talapady

Mangalore, Jul 11: In a heart-rending incident, a newborn was found dead in a river at Talapady near here on Thursday July 11.

The baby was a male, and police sources said that he might have been abandoned shortly after birth on Thursday morning.

The baby was found by the locals on Thursday morning.

Talapady panchayat members then informed the police, who arrived at the spot.

The baby was shifted to hospital for post mortem. A few injury marks were found on the body which may have been caused after its death, sources said.

There is no information about its parents or how it came to be abandoned.

Ullal police are investigating.

    My God, what a cruel act. In this regard Nirmala Convent is better, who save these kind of infants and give them for adoption. I hope Indian based German Claudia will read this and Thank the Lord all mighty and she pay gratitude to Niramala convent.
