Udupi: 'Tulunada Gobbulu' - A fun day out on slush field at Kaup

Udupi, Jul 9: People of all ages converged at Kopalagundi slush field, Kaup here on Monday July 8 for a fun day day out.
The occasion was ‘Tulunada Gobbulu-2013’ organized by Kaup JCI, a unit of JCI India Zone 15, for Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada revenue districts.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, JCI zone president Shridhar P S said, "Today, youngsters are moving away from agricultural activities, because of which the price of rice and other basic amenities is increasing. In the coming days, JCI will be holding special programmes to attract youth towards agriculture.”
Former zone president of JCI Narayan Shetty presided over the function.
JCI east zone-15 president Y Sukumar, JCI officers Allen R Vaz, Uday Kumar Shetty were present.
Chandrashekar Nair, Deepak Yermal, Ratnakar Indrali, Paudbidri CA bank president Sudhir Kumar, Katapady CA president Ravikumar, Kaup gram panchayat president Usha Shenoy, Yogish Rai, were also present.
Rakesh Kunjur welcomed and Ramesh Nayak thanked.
In the sports competition, Kaup JCC won the overall championship, Hebri JCI bagged the second prize while Mulky JCI came third.
Over 300 people participated in a variety of sports like sprint, musical chairs, kabaddi and tug-of war.
