Broad consensus on Modi as BJP's campaign panel chief: RSS sources

New Delhi, Jun 7 (CNN-IBN): The Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to make the big announcement on whether Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will head its campaign committee for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls in the next 48 hours. Sources say the Gujarat Chief Minister is adamant that the decision be announced by the end of national executive meet that takes place in Goa this weekend.

Under pressure, BJP President Rajnath Singh has called for an extended Parliamentary Board meeting on Friday. Sources say that senior party leader LK Advani has held consultations with top RSS functionaries and has relented to Modi being named the campaign head.
RSS sources also say that a broad agreement has been reached on Modi. RSS in-charge for BJP Suresh Soni met Rajnath Singh on Thursday.

But Sushma Swaraj is still against Modi being anointed right away, say sources. She apparently wants to wait and watch till the end of the assembly polls.

Despite the feel good factor created by Narendra Modi's clean sweep in the Gujarat by-polls, and a loss for his arch rival Nitish Kumar in Bihar, the deal is anything but done for Modi.

Eleven years ago in Goa, Modi had survived as the Gujarat CM, thanks to Advani's support. Then it was PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee who was opposed to Modi. Today, with Vajpayee having faded away, it's Advani who has turned into Modi's biggest opponent.

Just last week Advani said that out of Modi and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the MP Chief Minister more closely fit the Vajpayee mould of humility. Sushma Swaraj told the BJP president about the dangers of anointing Modi too soon. And now a section of the party wants a separate 'Chintan Baithak' to decide on Modi's road ahead.

But there are supporters too. "There is no doubt that Modi is the most popular leader," BJP leader Balbir Punj said. Goa CM Manohar Parrikar also added, "Modi is undoubtedly the most popular leader of the BJP. He should be made the face of the party in 2014, when and how will that be declared, it's for the party to decide.

There are now two very clear cut divisions within the BJP - one led by Modi himself looking for an immediate announcement, Rajnath Singh has given enough indications that he doesn't have a problem with this. The problem is with LK Advani and group, who are also asking for setting up of a separate election management group.

When Advani is the main opponent for Modi how RSS ,VHP,and BJP can put forward the so called Bachelor PM candidate in 2014 LS. It would be a suicidal attempt by BJP by framing Modi as PM candidate because people will simply vote to other parties to avoid BJP. The BJP people keep on saying that Modi is a world favorite PM candidate for India. When the whole world knows that the so called 3 time CM of Gujarath is banned to enter USA or any part of Europe then people will do a mockery against our PM candidate. It is a pity that more than 1.2 billion population do not understand how to live peacefully without disturbing other religions in a worlds largest democracy

No one can stop Modi becoming PM.

    Congress,

Pls see if you can do something by appointing HR Bharadwaj as Governor of Gujarat. You don't have any NYAYA-MARGA to fight against Modi.

BJP has no policy, no conviction, no core values, just raising Hindu Indians emotions based on religion. They are such shallow people who would trade religion for power. They are traders of faith and belief. Has BJP ever articulated its strategy on the core issues in India? Like Foreign Policy, Illegal Immigrants, dealing with China threat, growing victimization of minorities, freedom movements in Kashmir, Khalistan and Nagaland. Any issue of great social, economic, security issues, BJP has zero knowledge, zero research. They just want to be the "traders of "faith"

The issue will heat up more in coming days and a certain division with in and allies offing.Accepted in his own turf Modi is a king but outside world his influence is very little example ..Mangalore and Bangalore election canvas done by him but utterly failed!!!His substandard public address will further make him less popular if we take India as whole. How many states BJP lost in election in recent past?In Maha also BJP combine did not make any in road in the recent held by polls!!Therefore,it is not easy for Modi as SUSHMA,LKA AND OTHER STALWARTS OF BJP AGAINST GIVING ANY RESPONSIBLE ROLE IN COMING LS ELECTION.Apart from that his "FAILURE IN RAJADHARMA" will hound and block his ambitious political career!!

Modi is a king all over the world his influence is extended far beyond reach that is why the european & other countries want to set up business in gujarat. May be you have not heard his speech properly he is a powerfull orator & people get mesmerized while listening to his speech not like sonia & rahul who read from a readymade speech like rajeev gandi who used to repeat his boring Hum Dekh Rahen Hain, Hamen Dekhna Hoga, Hum Dekhenge. At least in the BJP there is a healthy competition among the leaders like Sushma, Jaitley, Advani and others but congress party there is only sonai & rahul who will decide like dictators. Besides that he is carrying out his RAJADHARMA in a true & just manner.

At anycost Modoji will become PM of India. Today's convention at Goa will be launch pad for him. he will be elevated as campaign chief, that will lead him to get about 260-300 seats for NDA in 2014 general election. I request all citizens to support Modiji to see brighter and most importently 'Corruption-free' india. Jai Hind.

Whatever the speculations about announcment of Modi's name as campaign manager for the party for 2014 generel election,it is a fact that except Modi there are no worth leaders in that party those are capable of becoming crowd pullers like Atalji. One shoul accept this hard truth.
It is also rmains a fact that Modi will not depend on RSS too much or seek any guidance from the top boss who appointed 'gadbud Gadkari' as President of the party. It is proved time and again that RSS people have no brain but few are only crooks like 'Shakuni mama' on who the central hicommand depends too much till now.Result is in Karnataka BJP was demolished like Babri masjid!
There fore it should be clearly understood that Modi will not heed to Shakuni like people or 'Susumaa' great mother incarnate of Reddys who showed them Congress symbol when they were entered Chanchala guda jail.
Professor Jaitly will only give Lecture nothing else.Best one is Rajnath Singh who is the only hope for BJP after Modi.
Warning bell is that if RSS takes the center stage in the excercise of Goa utive meet of the party, doom is guaranteed as it is a group of uneducated radicals. It knows only to own success but not the failure like in Karnataka poll results.
