UAE, Algeria discuss relations


Abu Dhabi, Feb 19 (IANS/WAM): The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Algeria have held talks on strengthening bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two countries and their citizens.

The meet was held between Abu Dhabi crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Algrian Defence Minister Abdul Malik Guenaizia, who is visiting the UAE for International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) here.

Both sides also exchanged views on importance of staging defence shows in the region like IDEX as one of the world's premier platforms for defence industry and knowledge.
