Mangalore: Girish Putran murder case - Woman from Kodikal arrested

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (VM)

Mangalore, Feb 11: Bajpe police have arrested a young woman in connection with the murder of JD(S) member Girish Putran from Hoige Bazaar, who was found dead in December 21.

Natasha (28) of Kodikal was arrested and produced in the court on Saturday February 9. She has been remanded in judicial custody till February 23.

Girish Putran

Girish Putran was murdered on December 22, 2012 and his body was found in Bajpe station limits near MRPL at Permude.

The exact motive behind the murder is yet to be known. Another 4 to 5 persons connected to the case are yet to be arrested. The motive will be known only after their arrest, said a police official.

Sources said that police arrested the main accused (a youth from Bolur) a month ago. The accused, said to be addicted to drugs, was involved in several immoral activities. As he was a government employee, through influence he used to easily get away each time. Though he was arrested, he is still roaming freely without any fear, sources said.

Natasha, who has a boyfriend, used to reportedly hang out with this youth from Bolur. Sources close to Natasha said that she used to get several other girls into immoral activities by luring them with money.

Hence it is suspected Natasha developed intimacy with Girish for his money and took him to Permude on the pretext of showing some land, and murdered him.

Sources said that at the time of the murder Girish had worn gold worth more than Rs 1.5 lac and had Rs 70,000 cash with him, all of which disappeared from the crime spot. There is no information about the valuables, said police.

Anupriya, Bangalore Holier than thou attitude this is exactly what I hate about you. you are there always ready to condemn others why don't you follow Christs teaching and his actions as per the gospels and check out who were his true friends and his disciples before you start with "I", every one tries to please God with their understandings, If God decides other wise he will tell them so, Rameez made a good point and I can relate to it as when you have all the opportunity in the world to do wrong still he chooses to do right and all should follow that example It does mean that you need to belong to any religion, for that matter even Atheist too have a Moral standings .

    @ rameez, bangalore
I appreciate your reasoning power asking why you should be good and behave good? You also mention 'i have temptations to ... i try to avoid ... only for the sake of my creator, to please my creator, to follow my creator'.
My religious belief tells me that God created this universe and he found it good. He created human beings and found it 'very good'. It also says that 'God created human beings according to his image and likeness...' which means that God who is holy and good is reflected in his creation. For this reason my conscience does not allow me to go against the will of God. I do not mean that I am holy as every human beings have their limitation but it is a call to rise up from our falls and look up at our creator. When we consciously do this surely we will be good as our creator is and i will not even get a thought of 'for the sake of my creator, to please my creator, to follow my creator' because the creator does not depend on all these as he is wholeness lacking nothing. If at all I want to please him and follow, it is because I am depending on him. Temptations are there sure but when i focus my attention on my creator constantly, his grace will be always there to overcome these temptations.
Be sure when we practice this no matter what religion we belong, we can become the channel of peace.
This is my expression to your question

    Mr. Sanjeev Kamath,

Boys are much advanced than you. They are carrying acid containers which apparently is the sign of masculinity. Pepper spray is girls' solace !

Rameez bro, I do not know the reason for you being really following true ethics and other good human virtues, maybe due to your fear of God?

But, there is another school thought which believes that this is the only life one has and one should enjoy it to the fullest possible extent!! By this, I am not in any way supporting immoral and illegal activities, but the ground reality is totally different!!

@Rudolf- Again when i say religious belief ,Am talking about True religious belief, not fake belief ,you are talking about people who makes fast cash
in the name of god. they are no doubt they are evil to the society.

you quote " Do you mean to say all religious oriented people are very moral and ethical and atheists are not?"

I never said that, what i meant is there is no reason for them to be good.

Please give me a logical answer why i should be good ?? Remember i want to have unlimited illegal fun and i have police and ministers with me??

Rameez-Bangalore, I do not agree with your views bro!! You are talking of an ideal situation only!! Do you mean to say all religious oriented people are very moral and ethical and atheists are not?

So many cases of very highly respected religious leaders and those held in high esteem by the general populace have been exposed doing the worst of things in the name of God, will you agree on this?

Morality and ethics and other good human virtues come from the conscience and not from religion or no religion!!!

It is all the situation occurring with the particular person at different points in time, which makes him do that way!!

Till there is injustice, torment, exploitation, and no fair play in this world all this is going to continue.....

I agree with Edward Pinto when he says most old residents of Mangluru have gotten easy money due to sky high real estate prices and now they do not know what to do with it and try to flaunt it by building huge bungalows, buy fancy cars, gizmos, gold etc. This has created an atmosphere of utmost materialism with total fall in all other human values like brotherhood, compassion also made the rich poor divide larger. The havenots and not fortunate ones in the race to get rich resort to all sorts of illegal activities. Majority of the poor forget getting rich, find it hard to survive in probably the most costliest place in India!!! In short, such an atmosphere is a very fertile breeding ground for criminal activities. Combined with the deteriorating law and order situation and other serious problems like frequent communal sparks and moral policing our Mangluru is getting famous for all the wrong reasons and is going the Bihar way!! What a stark difference from a decade ago, the main culprit being easy wealth!!

Why everyone has to blame political system for each and every thing, get out of this politics stuff from our minds. I feel Its because we are going away from our religious belief and teachings,
there is nothing called social values.Give me one reason why i should be good and behave good?? About me even i have temptations to smoke cracks, booze,to go with girls and many more .. i try to avoid
all these only for the sake of my creator, to please my creator, to follow my creator. If i was a atheist or dint have religious influence on my life i would have done all the illegal stuffs (no matter what people talk about me) until i end up behind bars.
so am asking again why i should be good and behave good if their is any benefit in the society, why i should stop having so called fun for the sake of you people and society???
Aim above morality, Be not simply good, be good for something. God's law is above everything.

This happens when a pennyless person want to become million in a shot span. Due to exorbitant increase in real estate price in mangalore Tom, Dick and Harry became millionaire in a day and they don't know what to do with such a huge money. Now every one want become millionaire and that is why if see in the recent past there is an increase in crime rate, which is rarely used to see a decade ago. Mangalore is no more peace loving city now. It is a PIECE city every one can use as they like.If this continues Mangalore will become capital of INDIA in future.

Oh God, I cant believe the girls from mangalore would do this... This is high time that we introspect ourselves and take corrective measures as greed for money has gone up with declining moral, ethical and social values...I hold present day political system is responsible for the happenings.
