Media Release

Mangalore, Dec 7: The annual feast of Sacred Heart church was celebrated on December 5.

The festal mass was presided over by Fr Joseph Lobo, director of St Josephs Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangalore along with 35 priests from the varado, neighboring parishes and other different dioceses.

Fr Joseph Lobo in his homily delivered the message to deepen faith in Jesus Christ and to witness more of Christ in daily life.

The parishioners participated in huge numbers with full devotion in the Holy Eucharist. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the parish priest expressed his gratitude to all people who made the event memorable.

The vespers was held on December 4 evening, in lieu of the festal preparation.

The faithful of the church gathered around at the Nutan Cloth Centre campus where a short prayer and blessing was held at the Sacred Heart statue.

The procession began with singing, along with colorful candles, while the church campus was illuminated which helped invoke the prayerful mood. Upon reaching the church a short prayer service and adoration was conducted by Fr Simon D’Souza, parish priest of Indubettu.
