Mumbai: Karnataka Sangha Celebrates Silver Jubilee

Mumbai, Dec 2: "It is an important day for me as it is the birthday of Bhaktha Kanakadasa. God does

not belong to any particular religion, he is a head of all devotees. Hence we all have gathered here to celebrate 25 years of courage as an association. The reason for its withstanding is its fame and achievements", said Sri Vishwatheertha Swamiji of Sri Pejawar Mutt.

 

He addressed the gathering after inauguration the silver jubilee celebration of Karnataka Sangha held at Shanthinagar grounds, Meera road (east) on Saturday December 2.

The Swamiji lauded Kannada and Tulu people adding that this association is a role model to others.

MLA Gopal C Shetty of Borivili west, Ikala Harish Shetty, vice president of Bunts Okkuta, Vishwan Pernokila Haridas Bhat, CA Shankar B Shetty, president of Bunts Sangh, Sathish Shetty, secretary, Krishna Y Shetty, Padmanab S Payyade, vice president of Bunts justice committee, Chandrahaas Shetty, former president, Suresh R kanchan, Dr Sathish Shetty, managing director of Meera road Thunga hospital, Ratnakar Shetty Mundkur, working president of Mathrabhoomi credit society, Harish Poojary, director of SBS private limited, social workers like Ashok Karkera, Laxminarayan were guests of honor.

Kishore Kumar Kukyan, honorary president of the Sangha, Uday R Hegde Yeliyal, convener, Jayasheela K Bijoor, vice president, Uday K Shetty Shriva, honorary chief secretary, Shobha V Udupa, honorary treasurer, Damodhar N Shetty, joint treasurer, working presidents of various sub committees Shivaprasad R Shetty, Krishnaraj K Tantri, Udaychandra Rao, Naveen V Shetty, Harish Kumar M Shetty, Shalini S Shetty Sachharipete, working president of women’s wing, Shantha R Shetty, vice president of women’s wing, Sukanya S Bhat, honorary secretary along with other office bearers and members were present.

On the occasion, prominent singer Vidhyabhooshana Bangalore, hotelier Subbayya V Shetty and family, Shivaram Shetty and family and PN Ganesh, Mount Everest achievers were honored.

As part of silver jubilee celebration, Krishnaraj K Thanthri, president of Guruvandana Samithi offered Satyanarayana Pooja and distributed prasada. Sri Vidhyabhooshan team performed Bajans.

Prior to the programme a procession was taken from Ayyappa Mandir along with Swamiji and concluded with Annasantharpane.

The programme began with chanting of Vedas by Ramakunja PRakash Acharya and Renjal Ramadaasa Upadyaya of Pejawar Mutt Mumbai branch.

Vidwaan Badari welcomed. Thonse Vijay Kumar Shetty compered and Uday K Shetty Shirva proposed the vote of thanks.
