Kundapur: National Library Week Celebrated in Koteshwar Government Primary School

Kundapur, Nov 17: “Library is like Temple. Everyone should make best use of it. This helps oneself to develop and understand what is happening around world”, said BEO Kundapur K Gopal Krishna in his inaugural message on National Library Week.

“Every individual should keep interest in reading books and newspaper. This National Library Week awakes those who lost their interest in library”, he said.

National Library Week was inaugurated in government primary school, Koteshwar by K Gopal Krishna BEO of Kundapur. Businessman Sudhir Kumar Shetty launched the celebration by beating the drum. The department of public libraries organized the celebrations in association with the district and gram panchayat Koteshwar and Rotary Club.

Grama panchayat president, gram and zilla panchayat member together with teachers and students had procession towards library and gram panchayat Koteshwar with drums and slogans.

Ganpathi T Shriyan, zilla panchayat member, Bhaghirathi Shetty, president of Koteshwar gram panchayat, Manju, Billava taluk panchayat member, Rotarian Nagaraj Acharya,  president of Koteshwar Rotary Club, Chandra Devadiga, vice president of Koteshwar gram panchayat, Sanjeev, headmaster of Government of Primary school Koteshwar were present.
