Mangalore: Foundation Stone Laid for Renovation of Koti-Chennaya Circle

Mangalore, Oct 21: The foundation stone laying ceremony for the Koti-Chennaya Circle near Nandigudda was held on Sunday October 21.

The foundation stone was laid by the dignitaries namely Gulzar banu, Mayor, J Krishna Palemar, MLA, Vinay Kumar Sorake, Vijayalaxmi, Premanand Shetty, Suresh Babu, Deepak Poojary, Meera Ashok Kumar, K B Suvarna and others.

Mangalore City Corporation handed over the maintenance of the circle to Narayana Guru Yuva Vedike.

The religious rituals were performed by Harish Shanthi of Shree Brahma Baiderkala Garodi temple. M S Kotian also took part in rituals on behalf of all the gathering.

Neelayya M Agari welcomed and briefed on the project. Devadas Ayarmar proposed the vote of thanks. Dayanad compered the programme.

The total cost of the project is estimated to be about Rs 3,75,000. The project is likely to be completed by January, 2013.
