It is not enough if students of colleges and schools have sense to build green in and around Mangalore city and do walkathon. It is city fathers, Deputy Mayor, Mayor, Commissioner and MLAs and MPs of Mangalore City should develop that sense first. They should take the steps to develop Parks , Traffic Islands with greenery , maintain cleanliness, make the city walls free of dirty posters and writings. Unless they take the responsibility and urgency in this matter Mangalore will decay slowly. A proposal to develop a beautiful park in Radio Gudde, Urwa Stores is pending for number of years. All political parties are one and the same in making our city dirty.

Here is great person - Mr. Sayed Beary who is trying to preserve nature at all costs. He is the architect of putting up buildings without cutting down a single tree. He deserves highest praise. I wish there could be more Syeds.

A mature leafy tree produces as much oxygen in a season as 10 people inhale in a year. What many people don't realize is the forest also acts as a giant filter that cleans the air we breath.

Good Job Guys.... keep it up
