Bangalore, Aug 29: 35-year-old Abdul Ahad, native of Puthige, Moodbidri, has been promoted as CID Superident of Police of the state by the State home department here on Tuesday August 28.
His earlier posting was as the Lokayukta DySP.
Puthige who hails from Moodubidri was appointed as DySP through the KPSC in 2005. He has served many places like Soraba, Doddabalapura, Raichur, and Chikmagalur. He has also rendered his services as an ACP in Bangalore.
Puthige has been awarded with a gold medal by the chief minister for his brave combat with the naxalites. He played a pivotal role in bringing the Naxal issues under control.
Serving as DySP in Bangalore from the past one year, he is accountable for tracking corruption cases.
The promotion of Puthige from DySP to CID SP at a young age of 35 has brought proud laurels upon himself.
