Udupi, May 25: Eleven pre-university colleges in the district secured 100 percent results in II PUC, including Palli Government PU College, Kokkarne Government PU College, Karje Government PU College, Sanoor Government PU College, and Kodikanyana PU College. 

Among the unaided pre-university colleges, Shankaranarayana-Mother Theresa PU College, Shiroor–Green Valley PU College, Ajekar–Jyoti PU College, Udupi-Poornaprajna PU College, Udupi–Vidhyodaya PU College, and Muloor–Al Hisan PU College secured 100 percent results.

Poornaprajna PU College, Udupi, has secured 100 percent result for the successive third year. 

A total of 14,480 students from the district appeared for II PUC exams in 2011–12 while 12,355 students passed and 2,125 students failed, thereby recording 85.32 percent result.  Morarji Desai Residential PU College, Ambagilu, Udupi, secured the least percentage of result–50 percent.  It is significant that the Government PU Colleges of the district recorded 100 percent results in the entire state.
