Bollywood movie ‘Y’ starring Leonilla D Souza screened, celebrities laud

Mangaluru, Aug 16: It’s a big boost for the team of Bollywood movie ‘Y’ starring Leonilla D’Souza and Yuvan Hariharan which was widely appreciated by the celebrities after its screening at Mumbai.

Shonali Bose and Jagan Shakthi director of ‘Sky is Pink’ and ‘Mission Mangal’ movies respectively appreciated the content of the movie and said that Y is a well directed movie. Shonali Bose said she was intrigued with the story of ‘Y’ and Jagan Shakthi said the movie looks interesting.

Recently a video song ‘Bepannah’ from the movie 'Y' was released.

'Y' will mark the debut of Leonilla D’Souza and Yuvan Hariharan into Bollywood cinema. Y is written and directed by Girideva and produced by Rocket Films, Roxy, Madhu G M and Dr Ajith. Karthik Mallur is the DOP of the movie. Yuvan is also the executive producer of the movie. Y is a psychological thriller, which is expected to release soon.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Leonilla said, “I feel really happy and this was unexpected. The directors, producers, film makers watched the movie and appreciated our work. The credit goes to the entire team of ‘Y’. We are eagerly waiting for the film’s release. The film makers have shared their positive review for the movie. We are happy that being a fresher coming from the South film industry who is entering Bollywood and making such films, we wish other film-makers to extend their constant support in the future as well.”

Apart from Y, Leonilla’s Kannada movie ‘Khasaagi Putagalu’ is expected to release soon. Leonilla's hometown is Permude near Bajpe. She was born to Helen D’Souza and Lawrence D’Souza.
