Kundapur, Aug 16: The department of railways has not reintroduced the stop at Kundapur for the Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai train that was serving the Mumbai passengers since the days of Konkan railways. The stop was discontinued during the Corona pandemic.

There is a huge community travelling on the train from Kundapur at nights. Hundreds of passengers used to get down from the train at Kundapur. As there is no other train for Goa passengers till next day morning after the departure of the passenger train, the Konkan Railway Corporation has been urged to reintroduce the stop.

MLA Srinivas Shetty has requested MP Shobha Karandlaje to take action in this connection. People have asked the reasons behind the cancellation of the stop of trains.
