Mangaluru: Independence Day celebrations held at The Yenepoya School

Mangaluru, Aug 16: The Independence Day celebrations were held at The Yenepoya School on August 15 in the school premises. The whole atmosphere was filled with a sense of pride and patriotism.

The programme commenced with the hoisting of the tricolour flag by the campus director, Mishria Javeed, together with the principal, Ujwal Menezes and campus coordinator, Euvet Pereira. National anthem was sung which was followed by a patriotic song.

Ananya Prasad compered the programme. The event began with a prayer service by the choir group. Head boy, Mohammed Adaan Hamad read the national pledge.

The principal delivered his Independence day message in which he urged the students to bring patriotism in their routine life and feel proud of being an Indian.

Students who won honours in swimming championships were felicitated.The programme culminated with vote of thanks by Ayesha Hadiya and distribution of sweets.
