KMCLU renames buildings after eminent persons


Lucknow, Aug 15 (IANS): The Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University (KMCLU) here has renamed nine buildings on the campus after freedom fighters, great leaders and academicians.

The administrative building has been renamed after socialist Acharya Narendra Dev and the academic building after former president APJ Abul Kalam Azad.

The KMCLU boys' hostel has been named Netaji Subhash Boys hostel, while the girls' hostel was named as Rani Lakshmibai Girls hostel.

The library has been named as Ram Prasad Bismil library, guest house as Ashfaq Ullah Khan, convocation hall after former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, gymnasium named as Chandrashekhar Azad Gymnasium while RUSA building as Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi centre.

Meanwhile, a photo exhibition on the freedom struggle and the screening of a short film on Kakori dacoity was also screened in the social work department.
