Mangaluru: Kindergarten kids of Mount Carmel Central School celebrate 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsa'

Mangaluru, Aug 13: The tiny tots of the kindergarten section of Mount Carmel Central School celebrated “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” on August 12.

The programme began with prayer and children took part in the same with great devotion, imploring God’s blessings on our country and its citizens.

UKG children gave the significance of various national symbols like National Flag, National bird Peacock, National animal Tiger, Flower-Lotus, Game-Hockey, Banyan Tree etc., LKG children had a class activity connected to Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav – 75 th Independence of our country. Their message though said in a few words and their simple moments to the music of patriotic song with innocence beaming on their faces showed their pride of being an Indian.

The seeds of patriotism were sown in the hearts and minds of the students by the teachers. The parents sprouted those seeds by preparing these children for competitions like Fancy Dress on Tricolour Fruits for LKG and National symbols for UKG, conducted in the school.

Certificates were awarded for the winners during the program. Administrator Sr Carrissima gave a short message and appreciated the spirit of patriotism of the children. The young minds ended their program with love for the country by singing 'Hum Honge Kaamiyaab Ek Din….'.
