Udupi, Aug 9: The fourth day of novena with an intention for the sick was held at Kalmady. The fourth day of novena prayers in preparation of the proclamation and dedication of Our Lady of Velankanni centre at Kalmady as a diocesan Shrine was held on Tuesday, August 9.
Fr Anil D’Souza, parish priest, Our Lady of Fathima Church, Perampalli, conducted the novena prayers for the intentions of priests and religious.
Fr Baptist Menezes, parish priest, Stella Maris Church, Kalmady, Fr Roy Lobo, asst parish priest were the concelebrant on the occasion. The choir team was from Holy Cross Church, Pamboor.
Feast of Our Lady of Velankanni, proclamation and dedication of Our Lady of Velankanni as a diocesan shrine and the golden jubilee celebration of Stella Maris Church, Kalmady will be celebrated on Monday, August 15.
