Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (EP)

Udupi, Jul 6: The district administration has complained to the cyber police station in the city against miscreants who have been changing the dates of holidays for schools and colleges declared by the deputy commissioner (DC) according to the prediction of the weather department and the changing in rain pattern in the district.

It is said that the miscreants have been changing the holiday dates in the orders by the DC and spreading in the social media the false holiday orders.

The deputy commissioner had released the holiday orders in the evening on June 30 declaring holiday on July 1 based on the rain prediction by the weather department. Some miscreants had amended through digitalization the copy of the order stating that July 5 is declared as the holiday and sent it to social media in the evening on July 4 causing confusion among people. The district administration had declared holiday only in Hebri limits that day.

A complaint to the district CEN police station is submitted to register a police complaint against such anti-social elements, conduct investigations and take legal action. An FIR is registered against the miscreants. Those who have knowledge of such people have been requested to inform CEN police station inspector on telephone No. 9480805470.
