Kaup: Sea erosion increases at Muloor Thottam, 9 coconut trees washed away, houses at risk

Kaup, Jul 5: The sea erosion intensified at Muloor Thottam sea shore area under the limits of Kaup town municipality. Around nine coconut trees were washed away in the sea.

For three days, high sea waves have been lashing near the houses of Deviprasad, Babu Shetty, Sunanda Poojarthi, Chandrappa Kukian and Mahalinga Anchan of Mullor Thottam ward.

The stones of the retainer wall that were put in this area are already washed away into the sea. If an emergency retainer wall is not built, more land area is going to be engulfed by the sea.
