Bantwal, Jul 2: "Development works are being conducted in Bantwal as per the plans of the government," said MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu. He was speaking after inaugurating and laying foundation for works worth Rs 1.27 crore in Peraje gram panchayat limits on Saturday, July 2.
“Several project works are conducted in the cooperation of people in the constituency. I will work sincerely keeping in mind the love and trust bestowed by people on me,” he said.
“As many as 1,400 road projects have been completed in Bantwal during the last four years. The works of 18 check dams for agriculture are in progress. Drinking water is being supplied to every house by pipes under the Jal Jeevan project. Bantwal taluk government hospital is better equipped than private hospital. Punjalkatte health centre will be upgraded soon. Tenders are invited for bridge and road construction at a cost of Rs 135 crore in Jakribettu. Work will start soon. Roads to 184 places of worship are developed,” he said.

The works that were inaugurated were Jogibettu – Panur road at Rs 30 lac, Kodange road at Rs 5 lac, Balasari temple road at Rs 10 lac, Panur – Mugrodipal Road at Rs 10 lac, Munjotti – Kalu bridge road Rs 10 lac, Arbi road Rs 3 lac, High Mast light Rs one lac, Sridevi Bhajana Mandira High Mast light Rs 1.2 lac, Mugrodipal – Panur drainage Rs 2 lac, Badekodi – Munjotti temple road Rs 10 lac, Konkanapadav Road Rs 10 lac and Enaje road Rs 10 lac.
