Serum Institute's Covovax approved for kids aged 7 to 11 years

New Delhi, Jun 29 (IANS): India's apex drugs regulator, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), on Tuesday approved Pune-based Serum Institute's Covid vaccine Covovax for children aged 7 to 11 years, as per a source.

The source said that SII's Covovax vaccine has been approved for restricted emergency use in children aged 7 to 11 years subject with certain conditions.

On June 24, the DCGI's Subject Expert Committee had recommended emergency use authorisation to Covovax vaccine for use in children aged 7-11.

As per the source, the DCGI has also approved India's first indigenously developed mRNA vaccine against Covid-19 manufactured by Gennova Biopharmaceuticals for restricted emergency use for those aged 18 years and above.

The DCGI had approved Covovax for restricted use in emergency situations in adults on December 28 and in the 12 to 17 years age group, subject to certain conditions, on March 9.

    When children below 12 have natural protection through their Thymus gland why expose them for experimental jabs for the greed of pharma mafia as guinea pigs? Worldwide no youth under 25 died due to corona, then why inject them with toxic unproven jabs? Bill Gates himself admitted covid is only the disease of the aged & comorbid people above 75. Now it is for the parents to stand up & say we are ready to wait for another 5 years before we lend our kids be part of an experiment for an ordinary flu like seasonal infection. Will the companies or government which facilitates vaccines is ready to pay hefty compensation if adverse events happen immediately or after a few years with auto immune diseases & cancers? Never play with our immune system which had evolved in many thousands of years & modern medicine hasn't deciphered even 1% of that till today. Never be hasty & regret later, there won't be an option once it enters our body.
