Mangaluru, Jun 27: The managing director and CEO of Karnataka Bank, Mahabaleshwara M S has been blessed with the ‘Sri Sringeri Jagadguru Bharathi Theertha Puraskar’ by His Holiness Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharathi Swamiji at Sringeri Shankara Mutt, Shankarapuram, Bengaluru in connection with 70th Vardhanthi of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharathi Theertha Swamiji. The award was presented to him in recognition of the valuable contribution and leadership for the development of the society as the MD and CEO of Karnataka Bank. Dr V R Gowri Shankar, Padmashree Awardee, Guru Seva Dhurina, CEO and administrator of Sri Sringeri Math and its Properties was also present on the occasion.

Expressing his gratitude and happiness Shri Mahabaleshwara said, “It is a blessing to receive this special award and I am humbled to receive this award on behalf of the entire Karnataka Bank family. I express my gratitude for the blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Bharathi Theertha Swamiji and His Holiness Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharathi Swamiji over the years in the growth of Karnataka Bank. I dedicate this award to the Chairman of the Bank, Shri P Pradeep Kumar, all the directors and to ‘Team KBL’ for their unstinted support.”
