Mangaluru: DCP Hariram Shankar transferred, appointed SP of Hassan

Mangaluru, Jun 27: City police commissionerate deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Hariram Shankar has been transferred as the superintendent of police of Hassan.

He took charge as DCP of Mangaluru on November 20, 2020. Before taking charge as DCP, Hariram was Karkala sub-division ASP.

As DCP in Mangaluru, Hariram served as a people friendly officer. He was an inspiration for many youths through his oratory skills on several occasions. During his tenure, Hariram strived hard and was successful in maintaining law and order in the city.

Hariram, who is from Thrissur, Kerala had joined service as a probationary ASP at Athani in Belgaum district. He completed two months of second phase training in Hyderabad and assumed charge as ASP of Kundapur. He is a Mechanical engineering graduate from NIT, Calicut and attempted the civil services examination later.
