Udupi police destroy seized narcotics drugs

Udupi, Jun 27: Police destroyed 9.686 kg ganja worth Rs 2,72,135 and 40-gram Charas worth Rs 55,000 as part of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Sunday June 26.

Total worth of the destroyed narcotics is Rs 3,27,135.

Udupi superintendent of police Vishnuvardhan, additional superintendent of police ST Siddalingappa, Udupi sub-division DySP Sudhakara Sadananda Naik and Karkala sub-division DySP Vijaya Prasad were present.

The superintendent of police said that the police officers should trace these kinds of cases and make Udupi district free from narcotics.
