Bengaluru: Four-day orange alert declared in coastal districts

Bengaluru, Jun 26: As per the weather forecast of Indian Meteorological department heavy rains of 115 mm to 204 mm are going to lash coastal districts.

The intensity of rain may reduce slightly on June 28 and 29. Fishermen are warned not to venture into sea as the waves are too high and violent. Tourists are not allowed to get into the sea at Malpe. Fencing net is put to prevent the tourists from playing in sea.

Yellow alert is announced for north interior districts for the next two days. However, Shivamogga, Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru are declared to have four days of yellow alert. In northern Karnataka for the past three days there is cloudy weather and drizzle is occurring in some places.

In capital city of Bengaluru, cloudy weather is prevailing from Saturday with slight drizzle during some parts of the day. Wind speed has increased, so too is the cold.
