Bantwal, Jun 25: A programme to recollect the dark days of Emergency was presided over by BJP mandala vice president Chidananda Rai at the B C Road office of BJP mandala on Saturday.

Bantwal Buda president Devadas Shetty explained that democracy was murdered by the Emergency imposed by Congress government.

Mandala chief secretary Dombaya Arala gave details of the work that needs to be done at the Shaktikendra and booth level in the days to come.

Block chief secretary Ravish Shetty Karkala welcomed and rendered a vote of thanks. Office bearers of the mandala, heads of Mahashakthi Kendra and Shakti Kendra and activists took part.

    what was a local emergency ballooned into emergency measures throughout Canada just a few months ago! Govrerments are notorious to play with democracy to suit them.
