Mangaluru: MCC Bank holds annual performance review

Mangaluru, Jun 25: The annual performance review - 2022 of the MCC Bank was held on Saturday June 25, at the PFX Saldanha Memorial Auditorium, administrative office here.

The meeting began with the prayer led by staff members of Kankanady branch. The programme was inaugurated by Fr Faustine L Lobo, parish priest of Kinnigoli church by lighting the lamp.

Speaking during the occasion Fr Faustine L Lobo, thanked the bank and management for giving this opportunity to be part of this review program. He said that bank has become synonym for money and has become a need of everyones life. Bank should grow along with the growth of its customers. He emphasised the need for keeping the customers happy and satisfied in order to be successful in the banking field. He stressed upon the necessity of three ‘C’s, Viz. commitment, concern and cordiality in the field of banking.

MCC Bank chairman Anil Lobo presided over the program. In his presidential address he called upon the staff to have healthy and friendly banking relationship with the customers and management and act as a bridge between the customers and management. He said that lending is essential for the growth of the bank and staff should put best efforts to enhance quality advances of the bank and that all the customers should be treated and greeted well. He thanked the staff for their effort in the growth and progress of the bank and urged for the continuous efforts and support for the bank and management in achieving the target set for the year 2022-23.

Maxim Castelino, (former chief manager, Canara Bank) advisor of the bank, in his talk on 'Awareness in Banking', called upon the staff of MCC Bank to have a thorough knowledge of the Banks Products and Services, Bank’s Policies and guidelines and RBIs Policies and guidelines. He said that having good knowledge will enable the staff to give best service to the customer without any delay. He urged the staff to be well aware of the Bank frauds happening through different platform and called upon the staff to educate the customers by creating awareness. He also called upon the staff to master the skills to handle sensitive matters and situations they may have to face while dealing with the customer. He said that the bank staff must know their surroundings and ensure that everything is in its right place and everything is working.

General manager Sunil Menezes, presented the growth of Financial Year 2021-22 and briefed the future plans of the bank for the year 2022-23. He analysed the past growth for the year 2021-22. He emphasized that the staff should give more importance to the growth of the bank especially Credit portfolio and the need to promote bank products to achieve the future goals.

Padmashree awardee, Harekala Hajabba, was felicitated by the management and staff members of the bank, with a shawl, memento, fruits, flower bouquet and cash reward. Harekala Hajabba, thanked the bank and management for the felicitation. He wished for the longevity of the bank. During the occasion, he remembered and thanked everyone for their timely support and help in his life.

Best Business Performance Branch awards were bagged by Kankanady, Kulshekar, Bajpe, Ullal and Karkala and were felicitated with flower bouquet, memento and cash prize.

Wilma Jyothi Sequeira, Branch Manager of Kulshekar branch, Ida Pinto, branch manager of Kankanady branch, Rayan Praveen K, Branch Manager of Karkala branch, Clifford D’costa, branch manager of Bajpe branch and Jacintha Fernandes, branch manager of Ullal branch were honoured for their tremendous achievement in the year 2021-22.

Reshal Evelinia Rodrigues, daughter of Dr Freeda D'Souza, director, who scored 91.60% in PUC, Lavya Rishal Lobo, daughter of Lancy Lobo, accountant at administrative office, who scored 99.84% in SSLC, Prajwal Peter Baretto, son of Jyothi Baretto, staff member of Kundapur branch, who scored 95.50% in PUC, Seanna Ambrosina D'Souza, daughter of Anitha P D'Souza, Accountant of Karkala branch, who scored 97.76% in SSLC, were felicitated for their excellence.

Staff members celebrating golden birthday this year were congratulated and felicitated with flower bouquet and memento and staff celebrating their birthdays in the month of June were also congratulated and felicitated with flower bouquet.

Directors Elroy Crasto, David D'Souza, Herold Monteiro, Roshan D'Souza, Marcel D'Souza, Dr Freeda F D'Souza, Irene Rebello, Anil Patrao, professional directors C G Pinto, Sushanth Saldanha, Sharmila Menezes, Felix D'Cruz, Alwyn Monteiro were present.
