Kundapur, Jun 25: “A G Kodgi was a veteran leader whom the whole society respected and loved. He was role model to countless youths of this state. Kodgi was known for his straight talk and behaviour,” said Kuilady Suresh Nayak, district BJP president.

Nayak was speaking at the tribute programme organized in memory of late A G Kodgi, which was organized by BJP Kundapur Mandala at Saraswati Kalyana Mantapa of Koteshwar on the evening of Friday, June 24.

Vice president of BJP Baikadi Suprasad Shetty said, “Kodgi led a fruitful life. He dreamt of rural development and worked for the realization of the same. Those who have worked for the society should be remembered every day.”

K Premananda Shetty Katkere, K Mohandas Shenoy, Sheshagiri Gota also paid rich tributes to the late leader.

Krishna Golla, Saroja Poojari and Sumati Nagaraj were present. Ashok Sarang sang the prayer song. The programme was compered by Shankara Ankadakatte. Chief secretary Satish Poojary rendered vote of thanks.
