Bantwal: Kateel inaugurates 24-bedded ICU at taluk government hospital

Bantwal, June 24: "I congratulate Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik for upgrading the facilities in the government hospital equivalent to that of a private hospital with only the intention of serving the people of the constituency in the health sector," said BJP state president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He was speaking after inaugurating a 24-bedded ICU constructed at a cost of Rs 1.67 crore on Friday, June 24.

" MLA has upgraded the primary health care centres which will help the people of rural areas in the taluk. The work of MLA Rajesh Naik is proof of how a government hospital can be upgraded. This can happen only when a person has the willpower, he added.

"The union government has plans to upgrade all the taluk primary health care centres. To provide a qualitative healthcare service, the union government is planning to upgrade the government hospital to that of private hospitals," Nalin said.





In his presidential address, Rajesh Naik Ulipadyguttu said, " The union government is giving more priority to health and education sector. The pending works of the hospital will be completed soon."

He also lauded Health Department Committee and doctors for their support. “Punjalkatte hospital will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 10 crore. he said.

Chairman of Keonics (Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation) Harikrishna Bantwal, Water Supply and Drainage Board Director Sulochana G Bhat, BUDA chairman Devadas Shetty and others were also present.

Tahsildhar Dr Smitha Ramu, Bantwal taluk government hospital Dr Pushpalatha, Taluk health officer Dr Sudarshan and others were present.
