J&K Police cracks IED blast case, arrests 4 terrorists


Srinagar, Jun 7 (IANS): Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested four terrorists in connection with the improvised explosive device (IED) blast case in which one soldier was killed and others injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.

Vijay Kumar, Inspector General Police (Kashmir) said, "Shopian police has cracked recent militant attack case in which militants used IED in a vehicle at Shedow Shopian, in which one soldier was killed and others were injured. All 4 militant/associates have been arrested."

It must be recalled that an army vehicle was targeted by terrorists with an IED on June 2 in the Shedow village of Shopian district.

One soldier was killed and two injured in that explosion.
