Mangaluru: Mysuru woman drowns in Ullal beach

Mangaluru, May 28: A woman died as she drowned in Ullal beach on Saturday May 28 morning.

Bhagyalaxmi (45) is the deceased. She had come to Mangaluru along with her husband, three daughters and a granddaughter. They stayed in a room at Pumpwell in the city and participated in the pooja at Someshwar temple in the morning.

After completion of pooja, the family went to Ullal beach for leisure. Bhagyalaxmi lost her balance while playing water and was washed away into the sea. When the other family members started screaming, members of Shivaji life guard team dived into the sea and brought the woman out. But by then Bhagyalaxmi had breathed her last.

A case in this connection is filed at Ullal police station.
