Mangaluru: Young girl of Kumta origin kills self by jumping into well

Mangaluru, May 27: A young girl native of Bankikudla village of Kumta taluk in Uttara Kannada district who was residing in Kodi of Hejmady village, jumped into the well of her house owner on the intervening night of May 25 to early morning of May 26.

Godavari (24) is the girl who killed herself. She was working in Quality Marine Food company as a fish cutter. She was living on rent at Hejmady Kodi along with three other girls. She is suspected to have jumped into the well of her house owner Raju Karkera due to some issue in life. Her mortal remains were found floating in the well in the morning of Thursday, May 26.

A case of unnatural death is registered in Padubidri police station.
