Further he said “In the Gospel John’s dream of a New City is grounded in reality. Christ, the Son of God who realizes this vision in his own life, gives us His final message—Love one another as I have loved you. We are the Church. How each one of us lives his/her life matters every vision of everyday”.

Fr Anil D'Mello welcomed the gathering and in his introductory message vividly explained the meaning and importance of teaching and learning catechism. He spoke at length about 'Parents: The primary catechists’, where the parents were given guidelines of teaching their children to subordinate ‘material and instinctual dimensions to interior and spiritual ones' and also initiate the children at an early age into the mysteries of faith of which they are the ‘first heralds' for their wards which was indeed motivating and beneficial.

Celestine Saldanha, coordinator of religious education classes briefed the parents about the rules and regulations to be followed and pattern of evaluation. She also expressed her gratitude to the parish priest for his unconditional support, guidance and providing spiritual nourishment to the flock entrusted to his care with utmost precision.
