Kundapur: Lions Club Hangaluru donates bus stand at Basrur Moorukai

Kundapur, May 15: Inauguration ceremony of new bus stand, which was built near Basrur Moorukai by Lions club of Hangaluru on the occasion of its silver jubilee year of its inception, was done on the evening of Saturday, May 14.

Speaking on the occasion, after inaugurating the bus stand, Lions club district governor Vishwanath Shetty said, “It is really appreciable that Hangaluru Lions clubs is doing such pro-social work. It has given many gifts to the society. This is beneficial for people of this vicinity.”

“We faced many challenges to build this bus stand. However, we are happy that we could build the new bus stand amidst the obstacles,” said H Balakrishna Shetty, convener of silver jubilee committee of Lions club Hangaluru.

First vice governor Dr Neri Cornelio, second vice governor Mohammed Hanif, former district governor Dr K Madhusudhan Hegde, president of Lions club Hangaluru Mathew Joseph, secretary Wilfred Menezes, all members, Vijaya S Poojary, president of planning authority of the city, former president Vikas Hegde, members of town municipality Shekhar Poojary, Prabhakar, eminent personalities of Lions club Shekhar Shetty, zone chairman Bannadi Somanath Hegde, Philip D’Costa, Ravikiran D’Costa, Rovan D’Costa, NIthesh D’Costa, officials and office bearers of other clubs were present.
