Tumakuru: Lesbian couple seeks police help to get married, denied, threaten to end lives

Tumakuru, May 13: In a bizarre incident that is reported under the limits of Tilakpark police station in the city, two young girls, who are in love with each other, approached the police to help them get married as the parents of both vehemently opposed their decision.

In their appeal to the police, the girls said, “We love each other and have decided to get married. Please help us.”

Both the girls were studying in the same college. They went missing for some days. Later, they appeared before police in the city and appealed to police. However, the police denied any sort of help.

As the police denied any sort of help in this matter, the young girls threatened to kill themselves, it is learnt. Out of fear, parents of one girl agreed for their marriage, while the parents of the other girl opposed and took their daughter back with them.
