Udupi, May 13: An elderly woman, who was attacked by a family with wooden logs and lethal weapons, died three days after the incident at the hospital.
B V D’Sa (82), resident of Jodukatte and mother of Jackline D’Sa is the unfortunate victim of this assault. She was assaulted with wooden log and other weapons by B V Ballal and his family members on May 8. On May 11, a shocked D’Sa fell seriously ill and was taken to TMA Pai hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead.
In the complaint that is filed in the city police station, it is alleged that the assailants were supported in the act by Mable Sumithra and family, Merlin and her husband, Parameshwara, Mallika Bhandary and family and their tenants, Abdul Aziz and family, Usha Yogindranath, Sandeep and family, one stranger woman and others.
