Vittal: 'Muchira Padavu Our Lady of Fathima Church' silver jubilee to be held on May 13

Vittal, May 6: "The renovation and silver jubilee ceremony of 'Muchira Padavu Our Lady of Fathima Church', Alake will be held on May 13, " said the church priest Rev Vishal Melvyn Monis.

The church programme invitation was released during a press meet held at the church.

Later, he said the renovated dome of the church will be inaugurated on May 13 and a sacred mass will be performed by the Mangalore Diocese Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha.

On the same day, there will be a stage programme on the premises of the church at around 11 am. Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha will preside during the occasion, he said.












Mogarnad Deanery Rev Dr Mark Castelino, Shri Kshetra Dhama Manila Shri Shri Shri Mohandas Paramahamsa Swamiji, Shri Kalikamba Anjaney Kshetra Kukkaje's Krishna Guruji, Badriya Juma Masjid, Peruvai's Mohammed Sharif Madani and several others will take part in the programme, he said.

On behalf of the church's silver jubilee, the newly constructed houses will be handed over to two families on May 14.

As part of the silver jubilee, a special retreat has been organised on May 7 and May 8.

Rev Alben D'Souza, Praveen Monterio OP, and brother Prakash D' Souza will conduct this retreat, he said.

Church Pastoral Committee vice-president Vincent D'Souza, secretary William M D'Souza and Ralf D' Souza were present in the press meet.
