45 crore people lost hope of getting jobs due to Modi's masterstrokes: Rahul

New Delhi, Apr 26 (IANS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked the Centre over unemployment in the country saying that 45 crore people have lost hope of getting a job.

Taking to Twitter, he said: "New India's new slogan is in every house there is unemployment. In 75 years, Modiji is the first prime minister on whose "masterstrokes" 45 crore people have lost hope of getting jobs."

The Congress has been targeting the government on unemployment and inflation in the country.

Mallikarjun Kharge had said: "At 7%, Inflation is now highest in 17 months. I humbly request @narendramodi ji to immediately withdraw these 'Achhe Din'. People of India have had enough of 'good times'."

The grand-old party has been criticising the Narendra Modi-led government for the inflation and squarely blamed it for the unabated price hikes in fuels and other essentials.

Several reports suggest that with higher food price pressure in the near term (summer effect, international prices, higher transport cost, supply chains) and persistent input cost pressure in the non-food segment, inflation is likely to cross 6 per cent in FY23.

    First let him explain what is unemployment. Does it mean that all people not working as government employee are jobless. Joker seems to have added number's to his bag of of jokes,without understanding the meaning of percentage. If his claim of 45crores is true than 1/3 rd of our population is sitting without any job

    True. According to this Baba whoever not having Government Jobs means unemployment. He also added all the children aged from Age 1 to 12 & students in his list of unemployment. He kept himself Number 1 in that list (After 2014).

    45% is like 40%. Going by this, congress would have formed government in all 5 out of 5 states, but bjp came to power in 4 out of 5 states. How is this?

    Sir, such a general statement does not elucidate anything, so, please clarify: 1. areas (manufacturing/services/agriculture) where jobs are lost; 2. Reasons for loss of job opportunities; 3. your remedial suggestions and strategies for Modiji to adopt.

    Many crores of people lost jobs and daily bread in past 8years. A very small part of them are due to covid, but majority of them is because of wrong policies of Modi Govt, which started from DeMo. Some of them found a good time spender in posting receipe, some in share trading portal and so on. A few of them are making some money, but many are losing even their savings. The high cost of living is emptying the bank balances of middle class and whatever savings they had it in the past. Bhakths get Rahul ridiculed for whatever he says. Its fine, but every passing day will get them closer to get ridiculed by their own family members, for not being productive and earning member of family.
