Mangaluru, Apr 25: MLA U T Khader urged the state government to hold a probe into the PSI recruitment scam.

Addressing media here on Monday April 25, U T Khader said, “Corruption is at the peak in the state with PSI recruitment scam now. It is impossible without the involvement of officials connected to the concerned department. How is it possible to select a black listed college as examination centre? The CID has issued notice to Congress leader Priyank Kharge just because he shared information in the the public domain. This shows the failure of the government and intelligence. Congress will not fear any threat.

“The in-charge of the PSI recruitment need to be inquired. The state government needs to take steps to inquire the concerned department officials over the recruitment scam,” he said.

Khader also said, “The state government is not concerned about generating employment for youths. Youngsters have lost faith on the state government. The situation in the state has made investors to step back from investing.”

When asked about Pramod Mutalik calling for boycott of purchasing jewellery from Muslim shops, Khader said, “It is not the problem of those who come out with such statement, but that of the state government which is silent on such issues. If the government is silent, then it will be a loss for our country.”

When asked about Nalin’s statement of various leaders of other political parties getting in touch with him who is willing to join BJP, Khader took a jibe saying, “Nalin has issued such statements earlier like distributing sand for Rs 2000, introducing sand policy and many more. When was it implemented?”
