Kundapur, Apr 21: “The work of uniting the society through sports is praiseworthy. May the bond of the community be stronger through sports tournament and Devadiga community grow still further in education and culture,” said Karnataka state home minister Araga Jnanendra.

He was speaking participating in the Devadiga sports tournament – 2022 held for Byndoor’s Devadiga community at Kundapur Gandhi Maidan in memory of Suresh D Padukone.

“Devadiga community is known for loyalty and sincerity in Thirthahalli. I will respond to their needs. May the tournament held in memory of Suresh D Padukone be a success,” he said.

The minister was felicitated. Devadiga sports tournament – 2022 president N Ramesh Devadiga Vandse presided over the programme. President Shankar Ankadakatte, chief secretary Nagaraja Rayappanamata, L G foundation managing trustee Nagaraja D Padukone, Ekanatheshwari trust trustees Raghurama Devadiga, Ganesh Devadiga, Srinivas Devadiga, Chandrashekar Devadiga, Thirthahalli Devadiga community heads Santhosh Devadiga, Ganesh Devadiga, Sadananda and others were present.

Ravi Devadiga Uppinakudru welcomed. N Ramesh Devadiga rendered a vote of thanks. Journalist K C Rajesh compered the programme.
