Mangaluru: Jaison Leroy Pereira bags ICYM national youth award

Mangaluru, Apr 14: Jaison Leroy Pereira has been chosen for the annual ICYM national youth award.

Born in Shirtady to Joseph Michael and Maria Lita Pereira, Jaison joined ICYM in 2012. He has served more than 10 years at unit, deanery and diocesan level.

He served as treasurer and was elected twice as president of Shirtady unit. In 2016-17, he was elected as president at Moodbidri deanery level. In 2018-19, he got elected as president at ICYM Mangalore diocese level. In 2019-20, he was elecyed as president of ICYM Karnataka region.

Jaison has been a leader who works and motivates his team members via example rather than directives. He mentors the ICYM's next generation of leaders and ensures that members who come to him for assistance do not go empty-handed. He makes every effort to assist everyone to the best of his ability.
