Manipal, Mar 31: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, is synonymous with excellence in higher education.
Through multidisciplinary research, innovation, and entrepreneurship (InE) ecosystem, MAHE, provides a conducive environment for the emergence of startups. Major student projects, maker’s space, idea Café, Innovation Center, Technology and Bio Incubators housed in the campus are all the activities and facilities centered around this.
Institute also has an Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), with a mission to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship within the student community through greater awareness and by assisting students with innovative idea to convert them into viable products or start-ups.
MES is MAHE’s flagship entrepreneurship event to be held between March 23 to 31 in online mode, and April 1 and 2 in offline (hybrid) mode. This year, all the activities are planned with a focus on instilling a culture of economic innovation at MAHE, and E-Cell is spearheading the execution of all the planned activities. Innovation Mela aims to help MAHE students start their journey in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. It is a platform where students will catch a glimpse of more than forty startups at MAHE as they display their work to the public eye. It is a brilliant opportunity for those looking to network and secure internships at up-and-coming startups. It will be held on April 2 at the Innovation Centre, MIT Manipal from 10 AM to 2 PM.
The multidisciplinary ecosystem at MAHE provides the development of technology, products, services and the incubation of startups. This distinct quality enables students to innovate in domains like technology, Ed-Tech, Mental Health, Fin-Tech, Cryptocurrency, Food Processing and many others.
Eminent MAHE officials will address these startups and give their valuable feedback, which will further help the students to grow their startups to a top echelon. The mela is free of charge and open to the local public.
