Mangaluru: Excise officials confiscate MDM drugs, one arrested

Mangaluru, Feb 8: Officials and personnel of Mangaluru sub division-1 of state excise department confiscated MDM drugs that were kept in a car with the intention of selling the same.

When the excise team was patrolling NH 66 that goes from Mangaluru to Kasargod, the found a car park by the side of the road at Kotekar Ucchila. On suspicion when the checked the car they found banned substance MDMA.

Abdul Rahiman bin Aboobakker, resident of Botthugudi of Vorkady village in Kasargod district of Kerala is the accused who is arrested in this case.

The value of the confiscated drugs is Rs 75,000. The total value including the car is Rs 3.3 lac.

Assistant superintendent Sunita, inspectors Seema Maria Suares, Suma, Sudhir A, Umesh H and personnel took part in the operation.

Arrested accused was produced before the judge of chief district and sessions court of the district and is remanded to judicial custody.
