Bantwal, Jan 25: A delegation led by minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, met former union minister B Janardhana Poojary, at his residence in Bantwal on Monday January 24 and explained to him about the ground realities surrounding the controversy about not allowing the Kerala government's tableau depicting Brahmashree Narayana Guru in the Republic Day parade at New Delhi.

Speaking thereafter, Kota said that he and some others had met Janardhana Poojary to convince him about the lies contained in the allegations made against the Prime Minister and the union government by Kerala government and state Congress leaders. "We spoke to him for 15 minutes. We pointed out that Sivagiri Math established by Sri Narayana Guru had been taken over by Kerala government in the past for five years, and that the Math is now being run as Math as per the Supreme Court verdict. We told him about the visit of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to Sivagiri Math on December 15, 2015, unveiling of the portrait of Narayana Guru, the words he said about the Guru, and sanction of Rs 70 crore by the union tourism department to convert the Math into an excellent spiritual centre," he narrated.

Srinivas Poojary said that Poojary behaved with them affectionately and that he told them that he understands the sentiments of the members of the delegation. He added that they have conveyed to Janardhana Poojary about the total support the BJP extends to a function about Narayana Giuru being held at Kudroli on January 26 and that the entire BJP including the state president, Nalin Kumar, have high regards for him.

KEONICS chairman Harikrishna Bantwal, said that they have put before Poojary the actual facts. District BJP president Sudarshan M, Ravishankar Mijar and Satiosh Kumpala were the other members of the delegation.
