Brahmavar: Man slips when taking bath, drowns in pond

Brahmavar, Jan 25: In an incident which took place at Petri Madaga in the taluk on Monday January 24 afternoon, a person who was taking bath drowned in the pond after he slipped.

The unfortunate victim was Pandu Naik (55), a local resident.

The locals were hesitant to enter the pond to retrieve the body of Naik because of accumulation of silt which posed danger. In the evening, expert diver Ishwar Malpe, arrived at the spot. With the participation of fire brigade personnel, the body was brought out at 5.30 pm.

A case in this regard was filed in Brahmavar police station.
