Panaji: Car, bike collision, car driver arrested for overspeed

Panaji, Jan 25: A man, resident of Velim was arrested by the Colva police personnel for colliding with a two wheeler at high speed and causing serious injuries to the bike rider.

The arrested accused is identified as Franky Fernandes. It is said that he was driving in his four wheeler from Colva. When he reached Betalbatim, he lost control of the vehicle and hit an oncoming bike in which rider Carol Dias and pillion Roque Batista were travelling. Batista received grievous injuries because of the collision.

A case in this connection was registered and police took Franky Fernandes, driver of four wheeler into custody. Further investigation is on.
