Udupi, Jan 17: Chathurtha Paryaya Mahotsava of Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji of Sri Krishnapur Math is taking place in the city. MLA Raghupati Bhat held meeting with district administration with regards to holding the final day celebrations on January 18 in a simple manner.
It is decided to cancel all the tableaus that were made ready for the Paryaya and stress will be given on tradition during Paryaya.
Deputy commissioner Kurma Rao M, CEO of zilla panchayat Naveen Bhat Y, SP Vishnuvardhan, additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu and members of Paryaya committee were present.
The committee also requested the devotees to watch the Paryaya Mahotsav on live television as the cases of coronavirus are increasing rapidly.
